I can hear the comments right now, but let me just say in my defence, that I have an actual target date which is very soon.
Really, I have an action plan which I have successfully followed in the past, when I quit smoking for the best of one whole year.
The day I started again, was not because I was craving for a smoke. It was rather a stupid way of celebrating my resignation from my previous job, and taking a completely new path in life.
Like all pre-Socratic philosophers, I have a strong will and I am confident of my success.
The date is soon approaching, so I'd appreciate some words of inspiration and encouragement from the blogoshere.

Oh! Good luck. Good luck. May you have years and years of smoke free happiness.
I'm in the same boat really...
I think I'm setting a quit date of June 15th. I debated June 1st, but I realized that I just wasn't mentally perpared for something that soon.
I can do it. You can do it. It's all a matter of willpower.
Good luck again, and keep us posted.
