The phonecall

I got through to Brazil on the phone last night. It has taken me a couple of days - including falling asleep with the phone in my hand - but I did it.
She was at home, taking a nap. I have this "fetish" about hearing her voice when she's just woken up, which I might add, she doesn't always appreciate!
All the sexy thoughts flew out of the window though, when she said that she was recovering from the car accident!
"What car accident???"
"Don't worry! It was nothing! I'm fine but a bit sore."
"What? When? How?"
"Don't worry! I'll write you an email"
My absent Portuguese and her poor English made it impossible to discuss the issue into further detail. I desperately need that teach-yourself book quick, along with a respite of the long work hours at the office.
On the plus side of things, it looks that she will be visiting here soon and I can't wait to see her again.
I feel like a silly teenager with a crush!
Perhaps it's true that "you are only as old as the woman you feel!" ;)

Epi, You are so bad... :) I hope she visits you soon! I know how tough long distance relationships can be.

Hhmm... now I truly believe that language got nothing to do with love :)

That must've been HORRIFYING, hearing your love having an accident!!! I can imagine how anxious you must've been.

GOOD thing you're gonna see her again!!! I bet it's gonna be a FULL-CHOCK LOVE FEST HO HO HO HO HO HO...*wink wink*

Sounds like she came out of it okay. That's good news.

So how soon is soon? We talking weeks or months? And for how long? My humble opinion, if she comes to Greece it's your big chance dude. You know what I'm talking about. I'm rootin' for you kid! :)

I'm encourageable, I know hollygl! :)

mother hen, finding it difficult to communicate is actually the best part of this relationship. We have a real good laugh when we mix English and Portuguese trying to complete a sentence! :)

ting, it sounded like something really minor. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be too long before she comes over.

jyankee, you can bet your house on it!!! :)

amel, *wink wink* indeed!!! :D

David, I think we are now talking about weeks rather than months. Thanks for the support mate! :)

Long distance relationships SUCK! I did that for 6 years, and it was no fun at all. When she comes to Greece, convince her to stay.

kate, that's my intention! Wish for the best! :)

Hi, Epi. Man that had to have been a scary piece of news. Glad she is ok, and that she will be in Greece in a matter of weeks. There are definitely worse things in life than feeling like a teenager with a crush :)

I got a phone call like that when I was in college. I was visiting home with a friend, we had some drinks and decorated the christmas tree when i got a call from (wife now) that she was in a car accident.

I found out about this about 10 p.m. and it happened way earlier that day.
