To be more specific, I went out and got absolutely paraletic.
It all started when I came back from the gym. The phone range and it was a good friend who I hadn't seen for ages. He just got back from a few days off work and could not get into the climate of working again.
We decided to go out for a quick beer-with it being a working day, and all-and went to a nearby bar which we frequented as youngsters.
To cut a long story short, we ended up drinking about a keg of beer each, while our dear barman friend was buying us shots of tequila and some watermelon concoction!
Plastered, wasted, pissed (call it what you will) I treckled back home by 4.30am, got a shower and a coffee, and off to work.
I'm in the office now, posting these words while feeling that I'm floating, living through a dream. It pretty surreal! I haven't done this for quite some time, so last night was a shot in the arm!

Epi-
You needed to cut loose. You did yourself a favor. Bad hangover?
Oh gee. No sleep? Big trouble!
Oh gee 2. Hangover at work...? Life's rough ain't it???? (Ha ha...) Here's to hoping you'll make it thru the day!
Poor Epi! Hung over or still drunk at work on NO sleep? The last time I did that (about a month or so ago) I got home at around 6:30am, managed 90 minutes sleep, and got to work around 10:45. Man we are too old for that....takes 2 days to recover. Remember when you were in your 20s and the walk of shame was NOTHING. Went out the next night too! HA...
Oh, tagged you back....couldn't help it :)
Oh that must be fun :) Seriously, I think last night will be one of those nights that you'll remember forever, because it has too many good moments to be forgotten.
Yeah Kate! I REALLY needed that, especially since I did,t have a hangover!!! :)
Ting, jyankee, rp - Through extensive testing over the years, I found that sleeping for only a couple of hours after such a night, actually makes things worse!
Yes mother hen! It certainly did! :)
rp -No problems with the lack of sleep! Amazingly no hangover either (I had about a gallon of water for breakfast), Besides, with the sufficient quantity of alcohol in my bloodstream, the day passed very pleasantly indeed!!! :)
Those fruity shots always make me sick. I'm fine up until someone pushes that stuff my way, then it's all downhill.
Sounds like you had yourself quite an evening. And sounds like exactly what was called for after such a rotten day! Good for you!!! What kind of beer were you drinking?
Epi, You sooo needed a night like that. To unwind and have fun!!
So not only am I missing out on beautiful beaches and ancient art, but you mean to tell me they let you drink all night over there AND the bartenders are cool?? Sheesh!
Yeah David. Those fruity shots are pretty lethal! We were drinking Mac Farland's (red Irish Beer)!
hollygl- you said it! Surprisingly the day at the office was pretty good, too. Perhaps because there was only a little blood flowing through my alcohol!. lol ;)
Alice, barmen buy shots to customers quite often here in Greece. But we've been going to that bar for the past 20 odd yers! We are part of the furniture I guess!!! Partying in Greece, esp. in the summer, is fantastic!!! you should visit!
